Doug has had much success around the world, teaching both horse and rider, however he would probably tell you that his greatest achievements of late are watching his Four Children all following his Training Thru Trust Program achieve their own success in the Equine Industry.
Kyle was the Trainer Of The North Trainers Challenge Champion 2010 & 2011, he is looking forward to be training out of Chilliwack this coming spring 2012.
Kade was the Mane Event Trainers Challenge Champion Red Deer 2011 & Chilliwack 2011, he is training out of Innisfail, AB  currently and has been building a very successful business.
Kaylee has been training with Kade in Innisfail as well, and has been competing in a few trainers challenges herself, she did very well this past spring 2011 at the Canadian Horse Training Championship in Innisfail, AB.
Kelcie just finished a very competitive final year in High School Rodeo, she recently sold her great pole bending gelding, and has already picked herself up another prospect that she will start and hopefully be competing on this coming year.

              Hes Wright On

This Stallion was purchased as a yearling and shown by Doug to his four year old year, when he was sold to Gardner Quarter Horses. He has been one of the "GREATS" that Doug is blessed to have had the chance to work with.

Project Cowboy, held Oct. 8th, 2010, at the Will Rogers Equestrian Centre in Fort Worth, Texas, was much more than a typical trainer challenge. As well as selecting ‘the great American horse trainer ‘, organizers used it as a pilot for a proposed reality TV show featuring horses and their trainers. The Mills family responded.  Doug, his son Kyle, and daughter Kaylee, entered. All have placed first in contests in Europe. This summer Kyle won the Trainer of the North Challenge in Smithers, B.C.
The Mills family did well.  Kyle and Kaylee ended in the top seventy five.  Doug was in the top ten.
